The Hozhoni Foundation feels it is important that the individuals, their families and their communities are informed about the agency's activities.
In this section you can read recommendations on how to become an advocate for persons with disabilities. We have also provided links to other associated organizations.
June-July 2010:
We are very pleased to have received a grant from the Flagstaff Cultural Partners! The monies will be used to host exhibits at the Hozhoni Gallery between July 2010 and June 2011. We are thrilled with FCP's support and recognition.
The UniSource
Community Action Team (CAT) Volunteers were at Hozhoni. The crew painted DTA
classrooms in record time. June 8th, 9th, and 15th found the Coconino County
Department of Corrections people helping in the Therapeutic Gardens. This
terrific group of gentlemen seemed extremely happy to be here and to lend
a hand.
Hozhoni's group homes are in need of "new" furniture and furnishings. We are always trying to make things better. If you are aware of anyone who would be willing to donate gently used furniture, please ask them to contact Jennifer Key, Director Residential Services.
The Hozhoni Gallery is proud to present "Walking Sun, Racing Stars," selected works from Michael Zapotocky, an artist with autism. The artwork will be on display June 5th through July 17th. The Artist's Reception took place on Saturday, June 19th and was a lot of fun! One artist was invited to do portraits in Phoenix at a TASH convention.
