The Hozhoni Foundation feels it is important that the individuals, their families and their communities are informed about the agency's activities.

In this section you can read recommendations on how to become an advocate for persons with disabilities. We have also provided links to other associated organizations.

December 2011 - January 2012:

On January 11, 2012, Walgreen's Distribution Center presented the Hozhoni Foundation with a check for $6,829! The monies were raised by the Walgreen's employees through various fundraisers and direct donations. Hozhoni is truly grateful for the donation and continued support of the Walgreen's family of employees.

Artwork by the artists from the Hozhoni Art Program was on display at the 10 x 10 Exhibition at the Coconino Center for the Arts. The Artists also participated in the Arizona State Centennial Artist Trading Cards Project.

Throughout January, the Olympians have been practicing snowshoeing and will participate in a tournament on January 21st. The Special Olympic Winter Games will be in Flagstaff February 17-18. Opening Ceremonies and a dance will be held at Singua Middle School. Saturday will be the snowshoe competition followed by bingo and dinner at the Closing Ceremonies.
