This acclaimed program allows individuals to express themselves freely through art. The Art Program promotes creativity and imagination while reinforcing all the skills supported through the Day Program.

The Hozhoni staff members in this area are all artists themselves. They only provide guidance and do not interfere with the consumer's creativity. The goal of the program is to allow the consumer a creative outlet that gives them pride and enhances their self-esteem. Examples of opportunities in the Art Program include painting, weaving (both traditional and Native American), leather tooling, woodcarving and clay.

We are so proud of our consumer's work that Hozhoni often has Art Shows within the community. Some of the shows simply display the work, while others allow the actual purchase of the pieces. All sales from the art shows go directly to the artist for their own personal use.
